Tea Kokotović obtained her masters degree in archaeology and anthropology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of University of Zagreb in 2018. In 2021. she was employed at the Institute for Archaeology in Zagreb as a doctoral candidate – assistant on the Croatian Science Foundation's research project Development and Heritage of the Military Orders in Croatia - milOrd (IP-2019-04-5513), led by Juraj Belaj, PhD. Same year she enrolled in the postgraduate doctoral programme of archaeology “Archaeology of the eastern Adriatic” at the Department for Archaeology at the University in Zadar. The main focus of her research related to the project is the reconstruction of the conditions and quality of life on the populations in continental Croatia which were once under the rule of military orders. Her scientific interests lie in the subfield of bioarchaeology; her work concentrates on demographic, dental and trauma analysis, paleopathology, diet reconstruction and impact and spread of infectious diseases in population. In collaboration with the Institute for Anthropological Research in Zagreb she is educated and working on stable isotope analysis (nitrogen (15N) and carbon (13C)) as a part of diet reconstruction. She has participated on a multitude of systematic and rescue archaeological excavations of medieval and early modern churches and accompanying cemeteries. Apart from Institute for archaeology, she collaborated with a number of other archaeological institutions in the country, primarily with Croatian Conservation Institute and Anthropological center of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
