Filomena Sirovica has been employed at the Documentation Department of Archaeological Museum in Zagreb since 2014. In 2009 she received her M.A. degree in Archaeology and Philosophy at University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. In the same year, she enrolled in a doctoral study at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts, and from 2010 to 2012 she was granted a scholarship of the Republic of Slovenia, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology. She received her PhD in 2015 and in 2017 she became Research Associate. She directed numerous archaeological fieldwork projects and as a lecturer participated in archaeological fieldwork training for students of the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts. Since 2016 she is a director of archaeological fieldwork projects in the Municipality of Baška at Krk Island. She is an associate member to Horizon 2020 ARIADNEplus project funded by the European Commission, research associate to Croatian Science Foundation project ProHeritage: Cultural Landscape - A Model for Valorisation, Protection, Management and Use of Cultural Heritage and Management Committee Member to COST Action SEADDA: Saving European Archeology from the Digital Dark Age. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Vjesnik Arheološkog muzeja u Zagrebu and also of the Editorial Board for scientific publications of Archaeological Museum in Zagreb. Her scientific interests are archaeological methodology and theoretical archaeology: archaeological field research and documentation, landscape archaeology, heritage studies, experimental archaeology.
