Zsolt Hunyadi has been employed at the Institute of History (Történeti Intézet) of University of Szeged (Hungary) since 1998; from 2011 in the position of Associate Professor. He got his MA degrees at the Attila József University (Szeged, Hungary) and the Central European University (Budapest, Hungary) in 1996. He defended his doctoral thesis at the Central European University (Budapest, Hungary) in 2004. He has been a research fellow of the CAPITULUM Research Group for Medieval Church History since 1997. He participated, and is still active in several international scientific projects. Since 2015, he has been a consultant of the project 6547 Sources, Manuals and Studies for Croatian History from the end of the Middle Ages till the End of the Long 19th Century financed by Croatian Foundation for Science working on the preparation of an English translation of Croatian medieval laws. He was an organizer and one of the lecturers of the summer university at Central European University (Budapest, Hungary) in 2008 and guest lecturer at Siauliai University (Lithuania) in 2012 (Erasmus mobility program). Zsolt Hunyadi is/was a member of the editorial board of the scholarly journal Aetas (2015 - present), the executive editor of the scholarly journal Chronica: Annual of the institute of History, University of Szeged (2001-2016), and a member of the editorial board of the University of Amsterdam Press (2014 - present). His research interest covers the history and development of the military orders in medieval Hungarian kingdom.
