Dr Siniša Krznar, Research Associate (Institute of Archaeology)

Siniša Krznar was employed as a curator at the Museum of Trakošćan Castle and since 2007 he has been has been employed at the Institute of Archaeology (Zagreb). Since 2017 he has been a research associate. He obtained his BA in Archaeology and History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb in 2001, his MPhil in Archaeology at the University of Zagreb in 2007, and his PhD at the same University in 2012. In 2009, and between 2011 and 2016, he was the leader of systematic archaeological investigations at the Torčec – Cirkvišče site and as a co-leader or team member, he has participated in many others archaeological excavations and field surveys. Since 2007 he has been participating as a researcher on a scientific projects financed by Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sport and Croatian Foundation for Science. He is co-editor of four scientific conference proceedings and a co-author of two museum exhibitions. He has participated in the organization of several scientific conferences, and also had lectures in numerous scientific conferences. His research interests are primarily focused on medieval cemeteries in northern Croatia.
